Last year marked the 82nd anniversary of the Hellenic Community of Ottawa. As we move towards the century mark, we look forward to setting new goals and meeting new challenges. As always, we remain dedicated to supporting the Greek community in the Ottawa area, and would like to thank everyone who has helped preserve the traditions and integrity of our culture. Helping Those in Ottawa for 27 years...

For a quarter century now, we've had the good fortune of helping many of Ottawa's deserving charities. Over the years, we've grown to become one of the city's most successful fundraising events, raising more than $1 million for an array of charities in the Ottawa region.

The Gold Plate Dinner is the vision of Steve Ramphos. Together with the invaluable help of Doris Ramphos, Dean and Kathy Karakasis, many volunteers and the staff from the Hellenic Community of Ottawa, the event has helped Ottawa's Greek community maintain its distinctly Greek heritage and culture by funding programs for language and dance. This strong focus on both the needs of the Hellenic Community as well as the needs of the Ottawa region have helped to make the Hellenic Gold Plate Dinner an ongoing success.

The glowing success of over $1 million raised is a testament to just how special this event is. It is more than just the customary appetizers, the habitual offering of unlimited wine and spirits, and the luxurious three-course meal. The Annual Gold Plate Dinner is about people, and the countless number of networking, fundraising, and business opportunities guests can have with community and industry leaders.
